My Hero Academia Real Life Hero Fan Joins Dragon Ball Super: Broly!
I hope you guys still remember the real life hero fan Blaine Hodge who went viral a while back due to his heroic deeds. The My Hero Academia fan Blaine Hodge went extremely viral when he saved a woman from a stabbing while he was wearing an All Might shirt. All the news report about this case had revealed Blaine Hodge in an All Might shirt which sparked a fire in the online anime communities. They found a real life hero.
From the photos, it was clearly revealed that Blaine is an anime fan and My Hero Academia is supposedly his favorite series too. It was reported that it was from there too that he was inspired by All Might and the tv series to become a real-life hero. The guy was hailed as a hero in all the communities and he was also given a lot of gifts from major anime studios and brands too like Funimation, etc. He was really grateful for everything too.
Even with all this stuff, one thing entirely changed his life. As his heroism was being rewarded in many different ways, Funimation took a step further with their reward. They flew him to Dallas and got him to work with Christopher Sabat, the voice of Vegeta. They are giving him a voice role in the English Dub of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Yes, you’re reading it correctly, just how crazy is that! I am pretty sure he is even more excited than us here.
I’m crazy excited to announce that I got a voice acting part in Dragon Ball Super: “Broly” movie (set to premier Jan 2019)! I was given the opportunity by @funimation who flew me out to Dallas to work with @christophersabat but more on that later. I’m so very grateful! #dbs pic.twitter.com/zv70dHewFa

He proudly announced about the voice acting part and shared his excitement about the whole thing on his twitter handle – @Staticssound. Right now, there are no major details given and he assured everyone that once he gets more details, he will update everyone on it. The role could be for just 5 seconds or could be even be pretty long like for a few minutes but I am pretty sure that they have something special for our hero in the movie!
This also pleases a lot of fans as a company like Funimation who actually cares about the fans and interact with them in real time and gives opportunities to people who deserves it. I think the My Hero Academia fans who were reluctant to go for the Dragon Ball Super: Broly would also go and watch it. Well, there’s just a few months left for the English release so I hope they can get all the work done by time for the release!
Funimation will be bringing the film to theaters in the United States on January 16th, and fans are just waiting to find out which theaters the film will release in. Meanwhile, you can check out the synopsis of the movie – “This is the story of a new Saiyan. Earth is peaceful following the Tournament of Power. Realizing that the universes still hold many more strong people yet to see, Goku spends all his days training to reach even greater heights.
Then one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan called ‘Broly’ who they’ve never seen before. The Saiyans were supposed to have been almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, so what’s this one doing on Earth? This encounter between the three Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies turns into a stupendous battle, with even Freeza (back from Hell) getting caught up in the mix.”
